Lin Zhiya from Qingshi Village, whose parents died young, drags her half-grown brother to live guarding an acre of thin farmland. Her hands are skillful and careful, and the silkworms she raises spin silk as white as snow, the brocades she weaves can make the town's embroidery studios steal the show, and a bowl of wild vegetable soup can taste warm.
That day, Jiang Lin, a traveling salesman, came to the entrance of the village. He was carrying loads of novelties and his mouth was as sweet as honey. He took a fancy to the silk hanging on the bamboo poles, and kept pestering Lin Zhiya again and again, insisting on learning the secret of raising silkworms.
Zhi Ya was so entangled that she couldn't do anything, so she raised her eyebrows and set the rules: "Carry water, chop firewood, and collect mulberry leaves. If you work hard for a month, I will teach you."
Jiang Lin deserved it, and from then on, there was a salesman humming a tune while working on the field ridge of Qingshi Village. There were gradually more brocade handkerchiefs embroidered with young mulberry leaves in his salesman's load; in her small courtyard, there were always popping up her brother's favorite candy cakes and fine needles used to mend clothes.
Smoke curls from the kitchen, the sound of silkworms rustles, the soft and waxy little silkworm girl meets the sweet-talking and pretty salesman, the days go by and it becomes more and more enjoyable.
Intention: Just work hard
