Jiang Xun, a wandering photographer, met Shen Yan who was guarding a seaside tavern due to an impromptu stay. The salty sea breeze and dim lights made the two souls gradually get closer in the collision of noise and silence. There is a scar hidden in Shen Yan's heart - his brother drowned while saving others, and he is trapped in a small town with guilt, burying his dream of opening an aquarium; Jiang Xun's lens captures the light in his eyes that is not cold yet.
From spending time together in the tavern to working together to renovate the abandoned dock, they integrated their past regrets and unspoken obsessions into an aquarium called "Inkstone". In the ebb and flow, there are quarrels and struggles, protection and redemption, and tenderness that goes both ways. When the dolphins jumped out of the water and the moonlight filled the coast, they finally understood that the best time was to be with each other, drowning in the sound of the tide, year after year.
