Zhu Xiaofu, the former king of archives in the main hall of the main god, is now the unemployed and re-employed god of death in Baisui Town, and is facing the biggest crisis in his career:

Bai Yuan gathered up the fox-crotch cloak that never left his body, and looked over quietly with his glazed eyes:
"Now, Lord Death, do you still want to take me in in exchange for your monthly performance?"
Zhu Xiaofu looked at the shabby skull pen in his hand, and then at the opponent's snow pole that reached into the sky and the earth. Decisively put away the roster and said righteously: "No, I think... My career may need to be redefined."
