"Contract Marriage: Heartbeat Countdown" tells the story of interior designer Lin Wan, who signed a one-year contract marriage with Lu Chen, an investor who needs marriage to inherit the family business, in order to save the studio. The two agreed not to interfere with each other and were due to divorce, but under the same roof they went from strangers to familiarity.
From the cold house rules, to heart-to-heart conversations under candlelight on rainy nights; from pretending to be loving to deal with the outside world, to involuntarily caring and protecting. When crisis comes and the contract is exposed, they have to choose between their inheritance and their sincerity.
This was a deal that started in black and white, but in the end two cautious hearts broke all the terms. When the countdown reached zero, they found the answer that could not be written in the contract: love.
Intention: The contract is false, but the heartbeat is true. What started as a refuge for calculation ended up being a home for healing. When emotion transcends terms, reason surrenders to love.
