In Wangchuan City on the northern coast, the fog persists all year round.
The Wangchuan Flower Field of Chenghai Middle School hides six periods of fiery and broken youth. Transfer student Lin Wu carries a white paper and inner secrets, and meets basketball boy Jiang Xubai in a flower field. The embrace of light and fog is supposed to be a midsummer salvation, but it cannot withstand the burden of reality.
The flamboyant Su Wan and the guilt-ridden Lu Zhinian weave a bond through misunderstandings; the gentle warmth and the aloof Xu Qingci find soul resonance in art.
From the throbbing smell of soda in the first year of high school to the desperate situation of the cold winter in the third year of high school, the shackles of family affection, the rift in friendship, and the regret of love have tightly entwined the fate of the six people.
The graduation season ends at the same time as the flowering season. When the flowers fade, some people fall into the river, some fall in hospital beds, some lose their memory and run away, and some live alone and become miserable. The thoughts in the white paper are not cold yet, the back figures in the sketchbook are old, and the fog of the River of Forgetfulness has finally dissipated, leaving only a piece of paper written with the obsession of "seeing each other safely and early in the next life", echoing with unfinished sighs in the years...
Intention: Using the fog and flowers of the Forgotten River as metaphors, it tells the story of love and redemption, regret and brokenness in youth. Six teenagers hugged each other for warmth in the torrent of fate, but were eventually crushed by reality, interpreting the ultimate contrast between beauty and tragedy, and writing a grand and sad farewell of youth.
