In 1981, a body was found on the streets of Hong Kong. The deceased was the 16-year-old daughter of Chen Zhantang and Li Xiaojuan.
The police arrested Ou Ruihua, an ice cream shop clerk near the place where the body was found, and convicted him through scientific forensic methods without witnesses or direct evidence.
Ou Ruihua first complained about injustice, but later changed his story and admitted to manslaughter.
However, Chen Zhantang, the father of the deceased, did not accept the criminal motive confessed by Ou Ruihua and believed that there was a hidden secret in this case.
