Maplehara Manyo's life spanned from an aristocratic young master to the decline of his family, and then he was taken in by the Kamisato family by chance. He was later introduced to the God of Thunder as the royal poet of the court. He was very successful, and even the God of Thunder rewarded him with a gorgeous haori. However, the God of Thunder later issued an order to lock down the country, and the people of Inazuma were living in dire straits. Manyo wrote poems to persuade, but he angered the gods. He was later exiled, contracted lung disease in a barbarian land, and later died. It is said that he was still wearing the haori when he became ill, and the blood he coughed up stained it red. And "I", as the friend Maplehara Manyo met after being exiled, listened to him tell his story at night, stayed with him until the evening of the next day, and watched him die under the sunset.
