The snake tempted Eve and Adam to eat the forbidden fruit, letting them know shame, distinguish good from evil, and gain wisdom, and then they were expelled from the Garden of Eden by God.
And she is much kinder. She won't let them eat the boring forbidden fruit, nor does she need to distinguish between good and evil... She just feels that the Garden of Eden is too monotonous, too boring, and too false, so she kindly helps to make a small change.
