Introduction to the work
"The Return of Ten Thousand Lights" is an ancient fantasy story about the redemption of two male protagonists.
The story revolves around two teenagers with very different identities: one is a street boy named Xie Shisan, who is struggling to survive, alert and vigilant; the other is the mysterious boy in white, Bai Yan, who lives in an ancient tower that collects thousands of lonely lanterns of last wishes. He is calm and powerful, but seems to be burdened with endless loneliness.
The story unfolds from Xie Shisan's first-person perspective. An encounter in a desperate situation forced Xie Shisan to follow Bai Yan and step into an extraordinary world composed of obsessions, last wishes and ghosts and gods. Their mission is to light up the thousands of lonely lanterns in the tower to help the dying souls fulfill their wishes and return home.
However, Xie Shisan gradually discovered that the person who needed the light to illuminate his way home the most was perhaps the unfathomable Bai Yan beside him. A bond gradually deepens in the weird and fantastic unit incident. The two work together to cross the soul, redeem each other in the process, and jointly explore their respective destinations.
Intention: Real salvation is not to drag people out of the abyss, but to light them up
The inner light gave him the strength to come out on his own and
Ultimately become a light that illuminates others.
