Tell a century-old rural story and listen to a song about the changes of the New China in the century. Zhang Guizhi's life spanned from war to prosperity, from the Republic of China to the 21st century. In these hundred years of life, she has seen too many ups and downs, gatherings and separations, the beatings of the Chinese nation, and the flourishing flowers of New China. Her world is so small that it only consists of this small southern village. Her world is so big that it encompasses the bitterness and impermanence of the human world.
Intention: In the torrent of history, individuals are as small as dust; but in the long river of life, the tenacity, wisdom and love of each individual shine like stars. This work aims to write the "big history" of "little people" and witness how Zhang Guizhi, while being washed away by the tide of the times, also carved traces on the land in her own way, becoming a silent but powerful footnote to history.
