The World Series, held every 10 years, promised the contestants to "fulfill any wish." The protagonist, who was terminally ill and longed for immortality, signed an agreement and entered this life-threatening game.
When he woke up again, he was already in a strange space of red earth and black sky - in the air filled with the smell of rust, where eternal night replaced the alternation of day and night. The referee of the competition announced the rules: Participants must compete for the "red beads" through the game. The winner will survive, the loser will die, and each person will gain unique abilities. The protagonist obtains the power of "creation", but finds that his ability comes at the cost of mental power. The crazier he gets, the more out of control his power becomes.
He teamed up with teammates who had the ability to "deduce the future", "manipulate the weather" and "exchange luck", and went all the way to defeat the enemy. However, when he was invited to the competition committee, he discovered the conspiracy: the Prime Minister tried to rob their abilities, and the chief referee who stopped them was actually a copy of his unconscious teammates. What's even more shocking is that the so-called "Prime Minister" is actually the protagonist's apprentice in disguise, and the entire competition is just a circular scam in the virtual world.
In the end, the protagonist, who has completely fallen into madness, uses the power of "creation" to reshape the world, creating his teammates (actually the differentiation of his own personality) and a new "self" - this survival game starting from immortality eventually becomes a self-closed loop of the schizophrenic, and new scams are waiting for the next "creator" to enter the game.
