The beginning of the story is sealed in an alley where the setting sun melts gold.
The girl was lowering her head and drinking ice-cold Coke attentively. A burst of noise passed by, and she glanced up inadvertently, looking past the laughing crowd and fixating on the boy at the outermost edge.
The setting sun hung just behind him, coating the still childish boy with a gentle golden edge. The chirping of the cicadas became extremely noisy at that moment, almost drowning out her own disordered heartbeat. The cold Coke in my hand became warm at some point...
The heartbeat that originated from the summer evening was like a quietly pressed shutter, forever freezing the young man in the afterglow on the photo paper deep in the girl's heart.
The end of the story also remains on the sunset street where we first met.
As time goes by, the childish boy in her memory seems to be alone, gradually walking out of this street and out of her life. Only the photo paper in her heart resists time - the young man with the afterglow on it will always stay at the moment that made her heartbeat pause.
Midsummer is full of unknowns, and that amazing encounter has become something that cannot be forgotten when mentioned casually in the future.
But no matter what, midsummer is always a hot season. The emotion, like the setting sun that fills the street, was buried deep in the girl's heart, waiting for time to gently restart it one day.
There will always be sunsets on the streets, and summer will come year after year.
I hope that all those who pursue the light will not be trapped by regrets in the end.
Summer future tense.
Concept: The main theme of youth is missing out. Those unsaid words constitute the negatives in our memories that will never fade.
