In the whirlpool of the times and personal emotions, I suddenly recalled that love has been in my heart for a lifetime. It took me 10 years to understand that deep and forbearing love.
Background of the times:
The late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China (approximately 1908-1918) was an era of collision between old and new ideas and intense social turmoil. It spans Jinzhong County, Nanyang Rose Garden and the United Kingdom.
The reason why I like their stories is probably that the flowers blooming under the bullet shells have a vivid and flesh-and-blood existence even though they are short-lived.
