"Buddhist Sutra"
"The Buddha was gathering his disciples to lecture on the scriptures. There was a cat squatting under the Buddha's seat, holding his breath and listening quietly. The disciples asked the Buddha why the cat also understood the scriptures? The Buddha said: Cats have spirituality. They have nine lives, and humans can only get one of them. Therefore, the spirituality of cats is beyond the reach of human beings."
The Buddhist scripture "Shangyulu" clearly points out:
"The cat's life has nine, which are related to communication, spirit, tranquility, righteousness, awareness, light, essence, energy, and spirit."
