When Long Huan was young, he moved to southern Yunnan with his parents, and was most at odds with Miao Feng, the son of the local patriarch, and Duan Qin, another boy with a different surname. Southern Yunnan has a tradition of going into the mountains to catch snakes for sale since ancient times. Miao Feng's uncle Miao Shan was one of the best. Long Huan and Duan Qin worshiped him as their teacher and became the representative of the younger generation of snake catchers. The two got along day and night and were inseparable. However, when they were 18 years old, after a large-scale snake hunting campaign ended, the two suddenly broke up. Long Huan almost never went into the mountains again. Duan Qin still made a living by hunting. It wasn't until Long Huan was 23 years old that Miao Feng asked him and Duan Qin to lead his mentor into the mountains to count the local wild snake resources. When he heard that Duan Qin was considering the mountains as his first stop when he was 18, regardless of the danger, he couldn't suppress his worries and followed him into the mountains.
