I walked into high school wrapped in the shadow left by junior high school. Even when I walked, I used to keep my head down, for fear of encountering those familiar malice again. But he insisted on squatting down and gently brushing off the dust on my shoes: "No matter how cold the wind was before, I will wait with you until it warms up." Later I found out that what he handed me was not just a word of comfort, but also the light that pulled me out of the darkness.
