The sycamore leaves on campus are starting to turn yellow again.
Bian Qiu walked through the tree-lined avenue with her textbook in her arms. A fallen leaf brushed against her shoulder, and she lay quietly on the ground. This is her third autumn at this university and the first autumn since Chen Mu left.
She bent down and picked up the leaf. The veins were as clear as palm prints, and the edges were slightly curled, showing the fragility of being withered but not withered. She suddenly remembered that many years ago, in the same autumn, a little boy awkwardly handed her a similar sycamore leaf, with "Thank you" written lightly in pencil on the back of the leaf.
That was the first time she met Chen Mu.
