Lu Ming, the favored son of heaven, and Shen Tangli, a sensitive and reserved person
Lu Ming is the most dazzling person in Jiangcheng Middle School - the first in his grade on the report card, the enthusiastic cheers on the basketball court, and "other people's children" in the words of his elders. His life is like a paved avenue of stars, without any deviation. Until he met Shen Tangli, the girl who always huddled in the corner of the library, with the fragrance of books and ink on her fingertips, became the only "accident" in his smooth life.
He would take a long way to the library to borrow a collection of poems that he didn't even read, just to hear her whisper the location of the book; he would deliberately sprinkle water in front of her after a basketball game so that when she handed him a tissue, he could see the redness of the tips of her ears. He thought the days would be like this, from the fall of camphor leaves in the second year of high school to the chirping of cicadas in the third year of high school. However, he did not expect that an accident would make Shen Tangli stay in that summer with the fragrance of Tangli forever.
At the funeral, Lu Ming wore a white shirt that she had said looked good, and held in his hand the dried Tangli petal in her notebook. No one knew that he returned to the empty library that night and put down two open books in front of the old wooden table where she often sat - one was "A Star Odyssey" that she had not finished reading, and the other was a draft book in which he had written her name.
Later, when people found him by the river, he still had half a piece of Tangli-flavored hard candy in his pocket and a note with only one sentence: "She said the wind would blow her thoughts to the other side, so I went to pick her up."
Intention: The proud man of heaven finally commits suicide when the Tangli flower fades.
