This book is a full-length novel. The background of the work is the development and changes of northern cities over the years. It uses the stories of two northern girls as the main line to show the growth of human psychology, the balance of various contradictions and the exploration of the meaning of existence amidst urban changes and individual migration in the thirty years from 1987 to 2017. The novel depicts nearly thirty different characters from all walks of life, who together form a group portrait of urban changes after my country's reform and opening up. At the same time, the society and people are interpreted from the perspective of two women, feeling the separation and pain, joy and enlightenment in their lives, and how they gain insight into themselves as they grow, and finally achieve the ultimate goal of altruism.
