Introduction to the work
Deep in the palace, Lin Weiyue, bearing the fake identity of the "Seventh Princess", was walking on thin ice amidst Xiao Jue's surveillance and secret feelings. Xiao Jue's yandere possessiveness traps her in a chess game of power. He not only protects her, but also uses secrets as a shackle to prevent her from speaking her true feelings.
When Beidi troops came to the city, she became a victim of the marriage, but met Murong Yu on the way. This Beidi prince seems free and uninhibited, but in fact he is gentle and delicate. He melts her frozen heart little by little with the chess game, the sound of flute and Jiangnan snacks.
From the snowy nights in Chang'an to the grasslands of Beidi, Lin Weiyue dealt with the obsession of the sickly prince Xiao Jue and the tenderness of Murong Yu. On one side is Xiao Jue's crazy guardianship, focusing on the country, and on the other side is Murong Yu's sincere treatment hidden in the free and easy way. She is struggling in the confusion of identity and two deep feelings, and will eventually find her own destination in the whirlpool of power and love.
Purpose: 1. Awakening of identity and self: Using Lin Weiyue's misplaced identity as a "fake princess" as a guide, explore people's self-searching under the established labels and shackles of fate - even if one's birth is a fake, emotions and choices can still give life real weight and break the shackles of the fate of the "substitute".
2. The game of love and power: By comparing Xiao Jue's yandere style of "protecting love with power" and Murong Yu's tenderness of "respecting the blank space", the two extreme emotional forms are revealed to expose the alienation of love by power, and also to praise healthy affection that is not coerced or controlled.
3. The glimmer of humanity in the predicament: From the calculations in the deep palace of Chang'an to the wind and snow in the Beidi grassland, Lin Weiyue never lost her good intentions for "the well-being of the people, no war and no displacement" in the desperate situation of survival. Xiao Jue's paranoia and Murong Yu's protection also showed the resilience and warmth of human nature in complex relationships.
