The girl in 1874 was trapped in the studio and suffering from illness, hiding her obsession with the boy in the corner gaze and the scent of camellia. She eventually passed away with unspoken feelings and untouched distance, and her love was only left in the last painting; in 2004, the boy met the girl's phantom in the intersection of time and space. From the initial doubt to the later concern, even after recovering from the illness and receiving the painting left by the girl, he could only face the ending of the two being separated by a hundred years of time.
"The fragrance of camellia" is a token that runs throughout, an anchor of the girl's memory and an emotional connection across time and space; "painting" is the carrier of love, which made the regrets of 1874 echo in 2004. However, it ultimately failed to break the fate of "never falling in love in the rainy season of 1874", leaving only the eternal sadness of camellia and rain accompanying the boy's funeral.
Intention: life and death, regret and eternity
