When Ye Xiaoyan stepped onto the muddy road leading to his grandfather's house where he could "bite" shoes, a whole new world appeared before his eyes.
Looking at the scene that was completely different from that in the city, Ye Xiaoyan was filled with reluctance and apprehension about the unknown adventure.
The village is divided into two halves by the clear Xiaohai River.
The children on both sides of the river were originally "enemies", but they quickly formed an alliance because of Ye Xiaoyan, an "outsider".
