The quirky heroine VS the rough guy from the prairie
1.
In preparation for her graduation project, Xia Weixi went to the prairie of Inner Mongolia alone for a year-long documentary shooting.
Through various contacts, she was introduced to the home of a local herdsman.
It was almost evening when we arrived at our destination, and with smoke rising from the yurt, she and the hostess briefly introduced themselves to each other.
The two were talking when a long tune suddenly came from their ears.
Xia Weixi turned around instinctively and saw a figure galloping towards him on horseback.
Behind him, the setting sun slanted down in the sky, and under his feet were the snow that had not yet melted and the dark brown earth.
She couldn't help but squint her eyes, and a word came to her mind: bright clothes and angry horses
The visitor approached from far away, dismounted from his horse, and approached quickly, casting a shadow.
Xia Weixi tried her best to look up at the mountain-like person in front of her. While secretly cursing what the other person ate to grow so tall, she took the initiative to extend her hand: "Hello, my name is Xia Weixi."
The other party shook her hand, then quickly let go, speaking in Mandarin with a strange tone: "Hello, Baoyin Chao Ketu."
2.
Xia Weixi is very interested in everything on the grassland, like a curious baby, asking endless questions.
And Chao Ketu's answers every time were concise and to the point.
"How does the mother sheep recognize which one is her child?"
"I just know."
"What did you eat when you were a child to grow so tall?"
"Meat."
"Can you say two more words?"
"What did you say?"
"..."
3.
It was late autumn again, and Xia Weixi had completely integrated into the local life. She was proficient in riding horses, milking cows, herding sheep... And was proficient in everything.
Even if I couldn't climb up at first and had to rely on the grass roll pushed towards Ketu, I can easily jump up.
And that also meant it was time for her to leave.
That night, the two of them sat in front of the bonfire, staring at the dancing flames, neither of them speaking.
…
Winter turned to spring, and Xia Weixi finally completed her graduation project.
The roommate came back from outside and said someone was looking for her downstairs.
"Who?"
"I don't know."
Xia Weixi went downstairs full of doubts. As soon as she reached the door, she was hugged before she could see clearly.
Followed by the long-lost awkward Mandarin: "I miss you very much."
