Every midsummer when the chirping of cicadas fills the window lattice, Su Qing and Lin He will go to a "summer limited letter appointment". Lin He has proposed it since the second summer they met. Each year's envelope may contain dried lisianthus or gardenia, or a painting they drew together, or a short sentence hiding their thoughts. The fingertips of the fingers touching the fingertips when opening the letter, and the smell of cicadas wrapped around the page have become their unique mark of time.
Until one afternoon when the sound of cicadas suddenly stopped, Su Qing left an unopened envelope and quietly traveled away. In the letter was only half a withered yellow gardenia petal and the words "Wait for me to find the meaning of summer in the mountains". Lin He held the envelope and walked back to the old streets they had walked side by side and the park benches they had sat on. When the cicadas were chirping again in another year, they finally saw the familiar figure holding a new envelope in a sea of blooming gardenias. It turned out that all unopened summer envelopes were to hide the reunion in the next hot time.
Intention: Parting is for a better reunion
