New York is a crowded and lonely city. Amidst the vibrations of the subway, in the theoretical classes at the college, and in the aroma of coffee on the street corner, as a Taiwanese traveler, I learned how to live in a different place and how to get along with myself. These words are the notes of my thoughts during my four years in New York. They are the quiet observations of a Taiwanese at the center of the world.
In the center of the world, learn to talk to yourself
New York never waits for anyone, but I learned to wait for myself here. The four years of studying abroad were a practice about movies, language, loneliness and freedom.
A "once in a lifetime" wandering in a foreign land,
But it became a bizarre adventure in the Big Apple!
When "Taiwanese" meet all kinds of strange new "New Yorkers",
Scenes of life stories that are more exciting than the movies are officially opened...
In order to realize my "once in a lifetime" dream, that year, I threw away my aura as the editor-in-chief of a well-known magazine and flew thousands of miles to Woody Allen's hometown to become a seeker of the "Eighth Art". But I never expected that the life of a "New York Taiwanese" would be more exciting than any movie!
Recommendation
New York is like a giant diamond. Different sections have different lusters. If you pinch it with your hands, the original shape of your fingerprint will appear.
Ah Jing is obviously in tune with New York's frequency. In his writing, he shows a fascinating aspect of New York that is rarely revealed by Chinese authors.
And in the radiant light of the giant diamond, you will also see the author's intriguing fingerprints.

Concept: Where is New York? At the junction of west longitude 74 and north latitude 41. I tried to write down my New York. That's not just a city. It is a subtle process in which one me unexpectedly transforms into another me. I am deeply grateful to every footprint in that process, and to all the people who came to overlap with my footprints with their own footsteps. Next, I will start to tell some unique stories about some people I met in the big city and how they inadvertently made my wonderful life possible.
