Fu Nanxu, a young Taoist priest who is not very good at chatting and a bit naive, met Qu Zhongyi, a praying spirit who seemed unreliable, during the process of catching monsters. The two got to know each other, caught monsters together, saw the red dust in the world, and fell in love. The journey was a bit tortuous, but fortunately the ending was happy.
