Shen Qiaozhou's world is like a notebook filled with scrawled jokes. She uses humor as armor to cover up the sensitivity and desolation in her heart that no one can understand. Until she met Wei Boyu, a boy who was like a collection of contradictions. He could build a sunny day for her with extreme tenderness, but he would often set off a tsunami of emotions without warning, leaving her bruised all over with his cold words. Wei Boyu is trapped in a cage of bipolar emotions, falling repeatedly between fiery mania and cold depression. He clearly remembered Shen Qiaozhou's smiling but broken eyes every time he lost control, feeling guilt like maggots clinging to his bones. He was greedy for the warmth and light she brought like firewood, but he was afraid that he would eventually blow out the fire completely. This is a story about two "patients" who are close to each other and warm each other, but also tear each other apart and hurt each other. They try to hold each other's hands through the storm of emotions, thinking that love can withstand everything. But the haze of the disease, the sharp edges of their characters, and the weight of reality push them into deeper confusion and despair time and time again. Shen Qiaozhou tried hard to play the optimist who could catch all his emotions, but her sensitivity and twisting made every injury leave a deeper mark. Wei Boyu struggled to become "normal" and to love her well, but often he couldn't even control himself...
