Liang Hongyu, born in Huai'an, Jiangsu Province, is a famous anti-gold heroine in the Southern Song Dynasty. His grandfather and father were both military generals, and he practiced martial arts with his father and brother since he was a child. Because her father and brother were convicted in the suppression of the Fangla Uprising, her family fell into disgrace and became a prostitute in the Jingkou camp. Later, she met Han Shizhong, felt his kindness, and redeemed herself as a concubine. After the death of her original wife, Bai, she became his wife. In the third year of Jianyan (1129), when Miao Fu rebelled, she traveled hundreds of miles at night to summon Han Shizhong to quell the rebellion. She was awarded the title of Mrs. Anguo and Mrs. Protector for her merits. In the Battle of Huang Tiandang in the fourth year of Jianyan (1130), she personally beat the war drums and commanded eight thousand naval troops to besiege Jin Wushu's 100,000 troops for 48 days, shocking the government and the public with her victory with a small number.
