In the fifth year of the "Red Fog Catastrophe", the land was barren and mutated creatures were rampant. Lin Yan, a former top student at the Agricultural University, became the most stubborn "seedling guardian" in the ruins.
Holding the last packet of seeds he brought from the laboratory, he set up a greenhouse in the storage room of the abandoned supermarket. Three cabbage plants were all he had to fight against the apocalypse - until the man covered in wounds broke in.
Shen Ye, a former border scout, had a knife stained with the blood of mutated creatures, and his eyes were as cold as winter. But when he saw Lin Yan's stubbornness in protecting the greenhouse, he threw out a piece of whole bread that was scarce in the apocalypse: "Half for each, and half for me when the vegetables are cooked."
From the temporary symbiotic "food agreement", to the man taking off his jacket to wrap him up on a rainy night, and repairing the greenhouse in the rain; from sharing precious potato seeds, to jointly fighting off the survivors who were robbing food; from "I like you" in the abandoned gas station tent, to reclaiming land in the abandoned farmhouse, planting tomatoes and hope... Lin Yan gradually discovered that he was no longer protecting only the seedlings in the greenhouse, but also the man next to him who was cold on the outside and hot on the inside.
They grew potatoes, raised chickens, and built defensive trenches in the ruins. They went from a small home for two people to accepting neighbors and building a "warm shed village"; from resisting mutated wolves to supporting safe areas in crisis. Lin Yan used seeds to sow hope, and Shen Ye used a knife to protect his home. The two lonely survivors planted each other's names into the soil called "the future" in the desolate apocalypse.

This is a story about survival, protection and love - in the most desperate ruins, there will always be a seedling that will break out of the ground, and there will always be someone who will hold up a greenhouse for you to spend the rest of your life together.
Purpose: Using the greenhouses and seeds in the ruins of the apocalypse as carriers, we can write about two-way protection and love in a desperate situation, and show the power of survival that "hope can also be planted in the desolation";
