This article is the story of the arrogant and stubborn boxer Luo Ming* and the toy store owner Minan in Jiujin City in the millennium.
When Luo Ming started boxing to earn money to pay off his father's debt, he stayed in the scarlet octagonal cage underground every day, thinking that this was probably what he would do for the rest of his life. No one has ever asked her what kind of life she wants to live.
Minan is studying at Guangzhen University Law School. She works eight part-time jobs a year to support herself and her grandmother. She is not tired. She still wants to move forward and move higher, and finally obtains a lawyer's license.
They were complete strangers in their bleak, gloomy youth - which may have contributed to their loneliness.
It wasn't until the year Minan got his lawyer's license that he received the news of his grandmother's death. She returned to Jiujin and never left again.
She guarded the old house left by her grandmother and opened a toy store of her own. At night, a dim light would be lit at the end of the alley.
And one night after a boxing match, Luo Ming was wandering around the old streets late at night with injuries all over his body but no one cared about him. He saw the light that could have warmed him for a long, long time.
"What if I depend on you?"
"I'm watching. No one can get past me to find you."
