College counselor Zhao Jianye fell into a coherent and real strange dream - he became a member of the ancient torrent of refugees, rescued A Qing, a girl whose life experience was a mystery, and settled in the secluded village "Moshou Village". In the dream, he used the inexplicable influx of modern knowledge to help the villagers resist Hu Qi, deal with the Yan army in troubled times, and gradually become the guardian of the village.
In reality, Zhao Jianye is ordinary and struggling. He has a crush on his colleague Su Ho but has low self-esteem and cowardice due to his family background gap.
