Single mother Tang Xiaoya and her daughter Xiaobei took root in their slow-paced hometown town. In order to treat Xiaobei's illness and recover, she once sold her only house and now makes a living by a street coffee shop and a studio. In the morning, she receives the hot corn delivered by Aunt Zhang, and when she closes the stall late at night, she can always see the dim lights left in the small courtyard. Although her days are busy, she has a stable background because of this small warmth.
The peace was unexpectedly broken, and the appearance of her ex-boyfriend Shen Yan made her panic and self-deprecating about "future possibilities". Fortunately, Aunt Zhang was always by her side. This old man who had lost her only child and who had hidden her son's old military uniform and medals (who died as a soldier) never asked much about the past. She only relied on the warm white fungus soup and the soft voice of "the days will be sweet as the days go on" to accompany her through the difficulties.
The wind in the small town carries the scent of coffee and locust leaves, slowly healing Tang Xiaoya's old scars. She watched Xiaobei chasing butterflies in the corner of the courtyard and listened to Aunt Zhang talking about her daily life, and gradually understood the true meaning of "spring is never late": even if she has been mistreated by life, the warmth around her, the hot soup in her hands, and the goodwill hidden in the fireworks will eventually make hope arrive on time, and the good days are unfolding little by little with the morning light and evening breeze.
Intention: love, family affection
