A French country delicacy: grilled bunting
The garden bunting will keep eating in a completely dark environment. When it makes a wrong choice, it will keep eating until its body doubles in size. It is taken out of the black cage where it is kept, and is thrown into brandy and drowned without any measures. This process is called pickling.
After pickling for a period of time, people would pluck out its feathers, process it briefly, and serve it to the nobles' tables.
Because the preparation of this delicacy was so cruel, in order not to be discovered by God, the nobles would cover their heads with white cloth when eating it, and eat all of it in a dark environment, leaving only an inedible beak in the center of the plate.
