Gu Qinghe, the legitimate daughter of the Duke of Guo, fell into the water and learned that she was the vicious cannon fodder in the novel "Feng Yi" - the Gu family hoped that she would marry the third prince and become the queen, but in the original plot she fell off a cliff and died out of jealousy over her concubine. She had no feelings for the third prince, and was spoiled to the point of being coquettish and arrogant. After awakening, she only wanted to hug the thigh of Yang Jin, the biggest villain in the original book, to save her life.
At a celebration banquet many years ago, when she was young, she and her attendants got lost in the palace. Seeing that little Yang Jin was cowardly, she ordered him to lead the way. After being ignored, she had someone beat him and forget about it. Later, she recognized that Yang Jin was the main villain in the original book and would be able to protect her, so she put down her eldest lady status and tried to please him in every possible way: she knew from the book that he was often injured because of his secret support, so she searched for scarce medicines in the capital and sent them to him; when she saw people laughing at him for being "cowardly", she rushed up to argue with them, not letting him be wronged at all.
It wasn't until she was assassinated in Beijing and she subconsciously blocked Yang Jin's sword that she realized that her intention to hug his thigh had already changed. Yang Jin, on the other hand, had long remembered the "lesson" from back then, but was moved by her unreserved kindness later on. From being used to being deeply doted on, the two finally tore up the script and ended up with Gu Qinghe avoiding cannon fodder and becoming the villain's favorite.
