A star traveled across the universe and came to the earth. From where it fell, it emitted a steady stream of energy that polluted the earth's atmosphere, forming a blood mist. All creatures that inhale the blood mist will mutate and become ferocious and powerful beasts. In order to avoid pollution, humans had to abandon most of the land and establish seven safety zones. Humans in the area develop technology and wait for opportunities to expel the blood mist and take back the earth. People who are exposed to the blood mist also have a small chance of coexisting with it and retaining their sanity. Such humans are called infected. They have survived outside the area for hundreds of years and formed various factions. The protagonist Monet was originally a pure human being, but due to an incident, he became an infected person and was exiled from the circle. Through his own efforts and the help of others, he gradually mastered the power and drove away the terrible beasts. As he explores the Earth, he discovers that there are deeper secrets hidden behind the star.
