There are actually no real villains in the entire book, except for the gods. At first, I thought Lin Zhen, Li Tiandi, and He Xiaoxiao were villains, but they were just using their own ways to make the world a better place. All they did was to keep the world going.
This kind of character setting is rare. It is not a whitewash, it just tells us that everyone has different ideas.
