Liu Lang was a corporate wage slave and programmer. While working overtime late at night, he accidentally clicked "Agree" and got dragged into the Main God Space.
The Main God was a huge, lazy fish that did nothing but freeload, and its business was livestreaming. Liu Lang was assigned to the "Villain Outsourcing Team," whose job was to play doomed cannon-fodder villains in anime worlds, get trampled by the protagonist's group, and somehow avoid dying.
Even more absurdly, his teammates were Iori and Kohei from Grand Blue, who'd been kidnapped along with him: one never stopped spouting nonsense, and the other had nothing on his mind but beautiful girls.
Their first instance: Resident Evil. The protagonist's group was still in matchmaking, and their budget hadn't been approved, so they had to start by acting like villains to thin air.
Since they're here, they might as well stay alive until the end of the shift.
