The whole class transmigrates into Journey to the West, and everyone goes wild from the start!
The top student takes over the body of the Demon Venerable of Lion Camel Ridge, the campus belle becomes the peacock on Spirit Mountain's Golden Summit, and the class president is reborn as a heavenly general!
Only Gu Changqing gets caught in a bug when his physical body crosses worlds. Reduced to the most inconspicuous mortal courier outside the Southern Heavenly Gate, he is kicked out of the class chat group on the spot.
"A mortal cannon fodder who could be trampled to death by a demon at any moment doesn't deserve to share in our Journey to the West opportunities!"
His classmates celebrate in the group, plotting to intercept Tang Sanzang, split the merit, and become immortals and patriarchs.
But they don't know that Gu Changqing has awakened the [Karmic Scales and Trait Editor].
In the eighty-one trials of Journey to the West, without his personal stamp of approval, even gods and Buddhas won't get a single bit of Heavenly Dao merit!
Not only that, he can also strip away and reroll the innate divine abilities of any god or demon in the heavens!
And so Journey to the West goes completely off the rails:
The top student turned Demon Venerable, who boasted about tearing Tang Sanzang apart, has his divine ability swapped for [Explosive Diarrhea Whenever He Sees a Monk];
The campus belle, who planned to save all living beings, has her Buddha light rerolled into [Born Demon Seed] and is placed under house arrest by a Bodhisattva on the spot;
The gods, Buddhas, and demons howl and wail, while the Great Sage Equal to Heaven camps outside the courier station every day, offering a cigarette: "Brother Changqing, could you go a little easier on today's trial script?"
At last, at the end of the pilgrimage, his classmates, having barely survived, finally fight their way through the Western Heaven. Just as they're about to tear open the void and return to Blue Star to rule the world, they discover in horror that...
Their ordinary former classmate, kicked out of the group long ago, is seated upon the Great Dao's Chaos Heavenly Palace, looking down upon all living beings in the Three Realms!
