Taking Off the Nuo Mask

The Nuo dancer Jiang Nuo can remove her mask. For the sake of a man who can't remember who he is and a father trapped behind a wall for twenty-six years, she gathers the three shattered masks of the Nuo god and travels to the Nuo shrine beyond the frontier. There, she uses her own face to seal the face-eating plague spirit away forever. The price is that from then on, no one in the world will recognize her. Only one person will.
