Wen He is an honest, struggling actress who usually gets cast as a corpse. Her wealthy fiancé and her manager join forces to drive her into a corner: either pay twenty million in breach-of-contract fees, or go to Room 808 and keep the greasy Mr. Chen company over drinks, so the innocent heroine can get a role with a top director!
Just as all hope seems lost, spoiler danmaku suddenly floats across Wen He's vision:
[Run! If you don't go drinking with him, tomorrow that scumbag will have you committed to a mental hospital, and you won't even leave a whole corpse behind!]
[Go to the top floor, Room 1808! Last night, three-time Golden Award winner Xie Linyuan secretly stashed your old hair tie, and right now he's watching the surveillance footage, getting hooked on you!]
Wen He may seem so meek that you couldn't get a peep out of her with three whacks, but she's rebellious to the core. She turns around, swipes her card, and heads up to the eighteenth floor.
That night, the famously abstinent actor with severe mysophobia pulls off his tie and wraps it around her wrist. His eyes red, he bites her earlobe.
