Great Tang: The Dad I Beat Up Turns Out to Be Li Er

Li Qingfeng transmigrates to the Tang dynasty, crawling out of a grave in Qianzhou. With no memories of the body's former owner, surviving here will be difficult. Without giving it much thought, he decides to head north to Chang'an.

The journey is full of hardship. He begs for food and takes odd jobs. Fortunately, after two years of scraping by, he awakens a System. With its help, he opens a tavern and acquires property. At last, his life begins to improve.

One evening in the twenty-third year of the Zhenguan era, a sickly old man rushes in and grabs Li Qingfeng's hand, shouting, "Qian'er, my Qian'er!"

"You want money?"

Li Qingfeng flies into a rage. "You old geezer! You look like a respectable man, but you're pretending to be a beggar and coming here to ask me for money? I'll beat you to death!"

The old man is baffled too. "Son, I'm not a beggar. I'm your father!"

"My father?"

"Damn it, so you can't get money out of me, and now you want to be my father? I'm your father, you old geezer! Take this!"

Li Qingfeng is even angrier. He grabs a stool and is about to swing it at Li Er.

After finally putting his hard days behind him, who could stand having a living father suddenly show up?

Does he think he's Gao Qiqiang? At least that guy only acknowledged a father. You're trying to claim me as your son out of the blue. What, are you hoping I'll support you in your old age?

If you want to steal my property, at least use your brain. Do you think I'm stupid?

The more Li Qingfeng thinks about it, the harder he hits.

"Stop hitting me! I really am your father. I don't want your property, and I won't make you support me. I'll even give you all my property, all right?"

And so, in the Zhenguan era, a once-soon-to-die emperor of the ages and a disgraced crown prince who had been dead for many years stage one scene after another of a loving father and filial son.
