[Urban Fantasy] [Wits and Twists] [Metafiction] [Fate-Driven]
Eighteen-year-old Su Wan woke up one morning to see words of destiny floating above everyone’s heads, words only she could read.
One person was destined to confess their love that day. Another would betray their closest friend three months later. Someone else would eventually die in a fire.
Only the space above her head was blank, as though her name had been completely erased from the script of this world.
Unable to stand by and watch tragedies unfold, she repeatedly stepped in to change the story as it had been written.
But every time she changed someone’s fate, it unleashed a terrifying overflow of cause and effect, throwing reality out of alignment and into ruin.
A boy wearing a white mask always left cold annotations beside the words of destiny:
[You are no accident. You were always meant to be this world’s ultimate villain.]
The city of Linchuan was becoming a vast stage spiraling out of control.
Established destinies collapsed one after another, and time and space fell into chaos again and again.
Su Wan set out to investigate, searching for the author hidden beyond reality and trying to recover the past that had been erased from her.
And she had to answer the ultimate question:
Was the blank space above her head true freedom from the script?
Or had this world already decided that she was never supposed to exist?
