An anthology, with a different pairing in each world. System 061 is the thread linking all the worlds.
[Two Male Leads] [No One Is Chaste] [One-on-One Romance and Happy Ending Later On] [Shifting Perspectives] [Angsty Substitute Romance]
The main System of the Space-Time Administration was hacked. Seeing how long the queue was for manual repairs, 061 chose to visit small worlds, collecting data and repairing itself along the way.
To enter a small world, it had to bind itself to a Host, so 061 randomly chose the word “substitute” as its keyword for assigning a Host.
[World One] Mu Xia x Qiao Jinglan
Mu Xia was tricked into going to Cloud City by his twin brother, Mu Qiu, to serve as a substitute for one of Mu Qiu's backup lovers.
When he learned the truth, he couldn't take it and ran away. He never expected to run into the other man again.
Qiao: “You'd beg him for help, but you won't come to me?”
Mu: “I'm not asking you. If Your Highness won't help me, I'll go right back to him!”
[World Two] Shui Mingyan x Chu Yangui
Shui Mingyan was sent to the residence of General Chu as a “plaything,” where he became a substitute for Chu Yangui's frail childhood friend.
Chu Yangui was gentle and generous with his rewards, and Shui Mingyan fell for him.
Later, he ran away. He never expected Chu Yangui to go to such lengths to find him.
“He's already gone. What do you still need me for?”
“Just be yourself. And don't run away again.”
More to come, undecided.
