A Northeastern Punk Gets Wrapped Around a Sharp-Tongued Lawyer's Finger

[Northeastern hoodlum gong vs. fastidious, meticulous lawyer shou]

[Two male leads | love and hate | younger man | modern romance | both pure | funny and lighthearted | happy ending]

Lin Xu'an thought he'd had it rough enough in life.

His parents were dead, his ex had cheated on him, and he'd been kicked out of the company.

Heartbroken, he returned to his old home in Northeast China, where he hadn't been for eighteen years, planning to open a little shop and spend his days waiting to die.

But what happened?

He rented a storefront, and the landlord's son turned out to be a hoodlum who'd done time.

Six-foot-two, built like a brick wall, with a scar through his left eyebrow and a dragon tattoo on his right arm.

He said "I'll beat you up" every other breath, and "Look at the state of you" with every other one.

Fine. I'll put up with it.

As long as we stay out of each other's way.

Then the hoodlum climbed through the shop window in the middle of the night, and Lin Xu'an caught him red-handed.

Lin Xu'an raised his broom. "What the hell are you doing?!"

Lu Yiyang replied without a hint of shame, "This is my mom's place. I can sleep wherever I want!"

...Fine, you've got a point.

Later on...

When people came to cause trouble at the shop, the hoodlum scared them off in three sentences.

When someone held up his goods, the hoodlum got them back with a single phone call.

When his ex-boyfriend wouldn't leave him alone, the hoodlum sent the guy straight to the hospital.

Lin Xu'an: "What do you even want from me?"

Lu Yiyang blushed and struggled to get the words out. "...I want you to make dumplings."
