Exiled to Beiliang, the Deposed Crown Prince Forges Firearms to Pacify the World

Pei Jin transmigrates into the crown prince of the Great Yuan Dynasty. Knowing that being close to the emperor is as dangerous as being beside a tiger, he spends ten whole years visiting brothels and fighting crickets, disguising himself as the most dissolute wastrel in the land.

Then the empress frames him, his brothers betray him, and the suspicious emperor strips him of his position as heir with a single decree, exiling him to Beiliang, a barren wasteland in the frigid north!

The court officials all laugh that he won't survive the winter, and even his fiancée shows up in the middle of the night to break off their engagement.

But Pei Jin looks at the modern military-industrial blueprints in his mind and throws his head back, laughing: The world is wide, and I can finally stop pretending!

The emperor thinks he's building a palace in Beiliang to indulge himself, but the smoke rising into the sky is actually from steel being smelted in blast furnaces.

The officials think he's wasting his time playing in the wilderness, but in reality, the entire army is being equipped with flintlock rifles and conducting live-fire drills.

Three years later, 300,000 Northern Di cavalry ride south. The Great Yuan's border defenses are in crisis, and the entire court is terrified, weeping and begging the deposed crown prince to return to the capital and save the throne.

Atop the walls of Beiliang, Pei Jin wears red, an arm around a peerlessly beautiful courtesan, as he casually pats the red-coated cannon beside him.

"Go tell Father: if you want me to send troops, first make room on the throne!"
