The Thread of Yan Luo

[No System] [Not a Saint] [Zombies] [Doomsday] In the twentieth year of the Wanli reign, heavy snow blankets Liaodong. While carrying out a reconnaissance mission deep in the Changbai Mountains, Lu Chen, an elite scout of the Ming army known as a Night Rover, discovers an eerie abandoned village. By day, the villagers' corpses are as lifeless as rotten wood. After sunset, they awaken like rabid dogs and attack the living. A strange, extremely cold herb called "Yanwang Silk" has taken root in the corpses' brains. Those infected never tire and fear neither blades nor swords. To bring this horrifying intelligence back inside the pass, Lu Chen embarks on a journey with almost no chance of survival. But he doesn't know that this plague is no natural disaster. It's the result of a secret experiment gone out of control, conducted in the borderlands by powerful figures in the capital who are pursuing "eternal life"... As a tide of living dead surrounds the isolated border fortress, who in this land can hold back the long night?
