After Shen Ye is left in a vegetative state by a car accident, no one knows that every night he risks his life to clear challenges in three different worlds.
When night falls, he first becomes a scout in an ancient border army, surviving until dawn amid paper effigies being wed in the night and a tug-of-war with a hundred ghosts. Next, he's plunged into a modern world of rule-based horror: the last subway train, a layoff-themed escape room, and elevator red light, green light. Break a rule, and you're erased on the spot. Finally, he's thrown into a futuristic cyberpunk survival game: a cyborg auction, a memory-tax tower, and a zero-gravity death match. Lose once, and you'll be dismantled into data.
The three worlds rotate, each with its own abilities: breath perception, a vision for rules, and data tendrils. But the stronger his abilities become, the deeper the corruption sinks. Whispers from the Old Ones murmur in his ear: Don't wake up.
In the hospital room, his mother hums a nursery rhyme every night, while his younger sister notices her brother's fingers move.
And on the Night Game leaderboard, a name called "Night Lord" is closing in.
Don't die before dawn. Because waking up is the final game.
