After a car accident, veteran police officer Lin Ning returns to 1991.
The turbulent tide of the nineties sweeps through a world of tangled township interests, factories and mines, and complicated clan disputes.
In his previous life, he worked hard for decades, never complaining and never shirking his duties, only to die in the line of duty on a rainy night, covered in scars.
Given another life, he puts on that same police uniform, but refuses to repeat the past.
Knowing how dangerous people can be and understanding the causes and effects of the past, he sharpens his blade among the ordinary people at the grassroots level, quietly watching the tides of change rise and fall.
A minor recluse hides in the wilderness, a great recluse among the people, and a supreme recluse in the court.
Starting at the Miaotan Police Station, he breaks free from the path fate laid out for him, holds fast to his original purpose, and plans for the road ahead.
Watch as Lin Ning, an ordinary police officer, rides the wave of his era, braves a thousand miles of rough waters, and forges an extraordinary life of grand adventure!
