[Rule-Based Horror + Infinite Flow + Power Fantasy + Smart Protagonist + No Saintly Hero]
Su Chen is an ordinary deliveryman who stumbles into a strange, rundown residential complex while making a delivery.
A notice titled "Residents' Rules" is posted at the entrance:
1. Do not go outside after ten at night.
2. Do not open the door if you hear knocking.
3. Do not speak to anyone wearing red.
4. If you see Auntie Wang from the third floor looking for her cat, be sure to help her.
Everyone follows the rules to the letter. Only Su Chen notices that a line of gray text has appeared beneath the rules before his eyes:
[Note: All four rules above are lies.]
[Note: Go outside after ten at night to meet the real living people.]
[Note: Always open the door when you hear knocking. It's a neighbor asking for help.]
[Note: People wearing red are good. The ones wearing black are the ghosts.]
[Note: Auntie Wang from the third floor isn't looking for her cat. She's looking for the people she killed.]
From that day on, Su Chen walks a path unlike that of every other survivor.
While others scrape by in the stages, he tears them apart.
While others treat the rules as sacred edicts, he treats them as jokes.
Then one day, the supreme being behind the rule-based horror comes to see him in person:
"What exactly are you? Why can you always see through my script?"
Su Chen smiles.
"Because your notes are even more obvious than the main text."
