Lu Chenzhou is bound to a "Male Protagonist System."
The System says, "Your missions are to make the heroine fall in love with you at first sight, make the villain get face-slapped in public, and make everyone gasp, 'How terrifying this guy is!'"
Lu Chenzhou says, "I refuse."
The System says, "Refuse a mission, and you'll get an electric shock."
Lu Chenzhou silently opens his phone's voice recorder and calls 12315. "Hello, I'd like to report a System for illegal employment, forced labor, and suspected assault."
The System falls silent.
Three seconds later, it says, "...Bro, let's talk this out. We can negotiate the mission requirements."
From then on, Lu Chenzhou becomes the only man in the city to take a System to court, force it to sign an employment contract, and make it pay his social insurance and housing fund.
The problem is, even though the System has backed down, the plot is still moving forward on its own. The heroine still trips and falls, the villain still taunts him, and everyone still waits for him to show off.
He doesn't want to be the male lead. But this world seems determined to push him down that path.
